What makes Veritas different?
Posted by: Lauren Webb, Senior Project Manager
If you’re not familiar with the translation industry, it can be difficult to know which company to choose. They all claim to be the best, and it’s tough to know how to differentiate between them. Your decision is likely to be based on both quality and cost; you want the highest quality, but many companies seem to charge exorbitant prices for their best services. Why? Because most translation and interpreting companies are run by businesspeople, not translators. This is where Veritas differs from your run-of-the-mill companies. We were founded by translators, and place high emphasis on an understanding of the profession.
All of Veritas’ project managers have received training in translation, and so have deeper knowledge of the processes involved than those in other companies. This means that we can provide a premium-quality service, and you will receive advice from someone who knows what they’re taking about. No matter how small your translation project, you will be assigned a project manager free of charge, who will oversee the translation of your document, and keep you updated, every step of the way.
We also pride ourselves on our strong academic background, and are committed to raising awareness of this misunderstood art. We hope that by raising the bar for quality in the industry, we can improve people’s perception of translation, and educate our clients, so that they know what questions they should be asking before commissioning a translation. Our language blog is just one of the ways in which we do this. Updated daily, we provide interesting, informative articles which are aimed at the translation community and general public alike. We do this because we love languages, and want to share our passion with the world.
So why trust someone else with your translation? This isn’t just a job for us, it’s a way of life.
