Translator of the week: Martin Greedy
Posted by: Estrella Ruiz, Project Manager
Our translator for this week is… Martin Greedy!.
Martin is originally from Wales (although he is not a Welsh speaker) and has enjoyed a long career as a Freelance translator from Spanish into Catalan and English. He has been living in Barcelona for over twenty years, which has provided him an extensive knowledge of both Catalan and Spanish. He also passed the IOL exam last year.
Martin got into translation while doing a favour for a friend, who asked him to help him with a book on painting. Then he got hooked!
In Martin’s words: “The only thing that keeps me awake at night is wondering who to support when Cardiff City play Barcelona in the Champion’s League. After all, it’s only a question of time…”
Martin has shown us what a creative and professional individual he is while working on an important project, never losing the friendliness that characterizes him. We are more than happy with the great job he has done and really hope to keep working with him for a long long time! Thank you for all your fine work, Martin, and congratulations!
