Translator of the week: Francesca Pezzoli

Posted by:

This week’s translator of the week is Francesca Pezzoli, an English to Italian translator who has been working on a large project for us recently. We’re really happy with how quickly she deals with things, and with her friendly and professional manner.

So, thank you Francesca!

Here’s what she had to say:
Well, thank you, that’s great! In the attached picture, you can see me in the oldest pub of Nottingham last September, ready to tuck in a traditional shepherd’s pie. The picture says all about me: I love food and cooking and I’m an amateur cake designer and pastry chef. I’ve been freelancing for almost 8 years now and my specialization fields are video games and gambling/casino. I’ve been playing video games for over 20 years and I’m also a linguistic tester. When I’m not at my computer or in the kitchen, I like to spend my time with my three cats, you can see them in the second picture 
We look forward to building on our relationship with Francesca, and hope this professional collaboration lasts for years to come!

About the Author

Megan has studied French and German since she was 11 years old and graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Translation in 2011. After school exchanges and two stints as an au pair in Austria, Megan turned her attention to translation, completing several internships with translation companies, doing volunteer translations for a not-for-profit organisation in the healthcare sector and working as a freelance translator during her final year. During her undergraduate studies, Megan carried out a 5-month internship as a translator at the Headquarters of Volkswagen AG in Germany and completed a semester of study at Geneva’s prestigious Ecole de traduction et d’interprétation (ETI), gaining First Class marks. She hopes to continue this success as she completes a Master’s degree in Translation alongside her position at Veritas.
