Translator of the week: Donglai Lou

Congratulations are in order! This week’s translator of the week is Donglai Lou, who has worked with us several times. We were extremely impressed with the wide range of services he offers, and his speedy, reliable service. Donglai Lou was busy working hard today, so couldn’t tell us about himself in his own words, but here is a little about this fantastic translator:
Donglai Lou is a NAATI accredited translator, with 12 years’ experience in translation. He has a BA in English and International Studies from the China Foreign Affairs University, and an MA in Commerce in Finance and Banking from the University of New South Wales, Australia, not to mention having achieved Band Eight of English (certified by the Chinese Ministry of Education) and CFA Level I.
Donglai prides himself on his high quality work, which has earned him his status as one of the top Chinese translators in both China and Australia. He is well respected by his clients and peers, and counts many of the world’s leading businesses among his customers. He has expertise in a wide range of areas, and works with a variety of CAT tools and software.
So, to sum up, Donglai Lou is a translation agency’s dream!

About the Author
Elfie is Veritas’ in-house ‘Cymraes’. Born and bred in Wales, she ventured beyond the border to complete a BA (hons) degree in Modern Languages at Oxford University and spent a year in Paris where she fell in love with the French language and culture. Her leadership skills were also put to the test as an English teacher for teenagers living in the notorious Parisian “banlieux”. Elfie is currently (more or less) fluent in English, Welsh and French but is determined to ‘perfect’ these three languages before learning a fourth! Having completed numerous jobs and internships in the Media Relations and Marketing sectors, Elfie is delighted to be combining her flair for language with her marketing and business expertise, and is committed to being at the forefront of Veritas’ growth.
