Ever heard of translation memory software?
We keep up to date with the latest Translation Memory technology, which allows us to compare multiple documents from a single customer, create glossaries and count repetitive words and phrases, in order to improve efficiency and offer discounted rates to our customers. This technology is especially relevant to technical translation services, as technical documents often contain a high percentage of repetitions, which in turn will mean significant savings on your translation costs. Translation Memory is not the same as Machine Translation, it is simply a tool which can be used by human translators to improve their accuracy and efficiency.

- Website translation
Having your website translated is one of the most effective ways of reaching out to new markets and broadening your customer base. Your website translation will be completed by a specialist translator who understands and has experience in your niche industry.
Our technical website translators are the best in the business. They have at least 5 years’ experience in the technical industry and only translate into their mother tongue, to ensure the highest quality possible. Our translators can liaise with your web team and work within your own content management systems if required.
- Localisation/localization
Localisation, or localization, is the process of adjusting a document or website to the cultural differences within distinct markets. Localisation involves not just modifying the language, but also all the other elements of a document, including symbols, colours, images and layout. It is a way of ensuring the cultural implications of your document generate the same positive reaction in any target market.
Localisation of technical documents could involve changing symbols and standards of measurement to suit the requirements unique to the specific target country, for example changing imperial values in an English document to metric values in a French document. The localisation process will also ensure consistency across all your marketing materials.
- Multilingual desktop publishing
Technical documents such as manuals will often require desktop publishing work to be carried out, in order to incorporate company branding and to convey a professional and trustworthy image. If your document has been translated into a foreign language you will need to be aware that size of the text may have expanded or even flipped (for languages such as Arabic which are written right-to-left). In this case, you will need a DTP expert to manipulate the text so that it follows the original design.
If the document you need translating also involves any kind of design, we have multilingual desktop publishing experts who can work according to your specifications. We work on both PC and Mac, using all major desktop publishing softwares.
