Expansion into Arabic markets

Arabic ranks fifth in the world’s league table of languages, with around 350 million native speakers. It is the official language of 25 countries, including Jordan, Israel, Saudi Arabia and the Sudan.

In contrast to most Western writing systems, the Arabic alphabet is written and read from right to left and is cursive in both handwriting and print. It is therefore of vital importance that your Arabic translation is handled by a native translator with a wealth of translation experience in your subject area.

Arabic desktop publishing

If your documents require any kind of design, we have Arabic translators who also specialise in desktop publishing. They can work to your specifications and incorporate the translated Arabic text into a finished piece of artwork.

It is vital that Arabic desktop publishing is done by a native speaking professional to make sure that your translated text is inserted in the correct places and is displayed as it should be.

Veritas can provide Arabic translations of any general or technical document, no matter how large or small or to which time scale.

Arabic translation and language - an overview
Arabic is a Central Semitic language, and related to Hebrew and Syriac. Arabic ranks fifth in the world’s league table of languages.

It is the official language of 25 countries, including Jordan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the Sudan. Arabic is the language of Islam, and Muslims believe that the words that later gave rise to the Quran were spoken by Allah to Muhammad in Arabic.

In contrast to most Western writing systems, the Arabic alphabet is written and read from right to left and is cursive in both handwriting and print.

This means that each letter is connected to the next, and each letter can have up to four forms, depending on its neighbour.
